Want to help improve Chicago's dog parks? Here's how:

  • Join your local PAC — Park Advisory Councils welcome new volunteers. Find yours through the Chicago Parks Foundation.
  • Attend cleanup days — Many parks organize regular volunteer cleanup events.
  • Report issues — Call Park Security at 312-747-2193 for safety concerns.
  • Petition for a new DFA — Communities can petition the Chicago Park District for new dog-friendly areas (minimum development cost: $150,000).
